Tom Rickert makes podcasts for KYW Newsradio, telling stories on "Scroll Down", "Gone Cold: Philadelphia Unsolved Murders", and "The Beer and Booze Broz." When he's not behind the microphone or putting together a story for one of KYW's original podcasts, you can find him at the editor's desk, writing for AM drive, or producing high-test audio for the radio.

 

Tom is an award winning audio producer for KYW Newsradio, receiving honors from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and the Regional Edward R. Murrow awards. 

 

He was the second program director and executive producer for "hearPhilly", the radio station dedicated to “What’s going on in Philadelphia,” produced in partnership with KYW Newsradio and Visit Philly. 

 

Tom joined KYW in May of 2011, shortly after he graduated from Temple University with a degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, and Mass Media. He grew up in West Chester, PA and now lives in Delaware County, where the roads are always just bad enough to make longboarding a real challenge. 

 

When he's not working to bring you the news or telling stories (wherever you get your podcasts), Tom is probably talking about baseball, snowboarding, at a metalcore show, or playing with his adorable dachshund named Dublin. ​
