Tom Rickert is the executive producer of KYW Original Podcasts, telling stories behind the scenes on shows like "In Depth: Coronavirus",  "KYW In Depth" and "The Beer and Booze Broz" and behind the mic on "Gone Cold: Philadelphia Unsolved Murders".

Tom is an award winning audio producer for KYW Newsradio, receiving honors from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and the Regional Edward R. Murrow awards.

Before he moved full time into KYW Original Podcasts, you could find him at the editor's desk, writing for AM drive, or producing high-test audio for the radio. He was the second program director and executive producer for HearPhilly, the radio station dedicated to “What’s going on in Philadelphia,” produced in partnership with KYW Newsradio and Visit Philly.

Tom joined KYW in 2011 after graduating from Temple University with a degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, and Mass Media. He grew up in West Chester, PA and now lives in Delaware County, where the roads are always just bad enough to make longboarding a real challenge.

When he's not mashing audio together or bringing stories about Philadelphia to life (wherever you get your podcasts), Tom is probably talking about baseball, snowboarding, at a metalcore show, or playing with his adorable dachshund named Dublin.
